More octopi!

I've been playing with that little octopus stamp again! This time I stamped it randomly in different colours, mounted it onto some bright pink card and then onto a square card blank.

Job done!

Those lazy days of summer at Make My Monday

Lazy Days of Summer is the new challenge at Make My Monday. I found some 6x6 paper  which perfectly represented a hot summer's day ( I'm beginning to forget what they are!)

The little bikini die and sentiment stamp are from Simon Says Stamp. I added the birds to break up the background. I hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's makes.

Fancy Folds at Cards 4 Guyz.

I'm quite taken with the twisted pop up card and it fits well with this week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. I dug out some coordinating papers from a very old paper pad bought originally from QVC.

The stamps are from SU, I stamped them on the patterned paper then stuck them on white card as the paper is very thin. I think it might go to my grandson in due course. as always I hope you like and will be able to join in.

A Little Octopus!

Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis will know that I am involved with the Octopus For a Preemie UK charity, (see the sidebar and HERE ) so when I sat his cute Lawn Fawn stamp I couldn't resist!

I cut out a stitched rectangle square from SU then  stamped him in black and clear embossed him. I  masked him off and stamped the bubbles in Versamark and embossed them in white. I sponged some Distress Oxides ink over the top. I coloured the little octopus with a pink Copic. The white and blue mats are both snippets so I'm off to the Playground to see what mischief everyone is up to.

Grey and Pink

The new challenge at Make My Monday is to use grey and pink, a very pretty combination.
I used a SU stamp set which has been really popular, but has been sitting on my desk uninked!

It was such a quick card to make and I love the effect of the paint splash on her dress. I'm afraid I'm a day late posting this, I'm going to blame the building stress!

Tiny fingers and toes

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Cardz for Guyz. This time  we are looking for Tiny Fingers. And Toes. But do remember it is for a male card!

Recently my neighbours had twin boys and I made this card for them. I had no stamps that mentioned twins so I went with the sentiment from a SU set instead. The little suits are also a SU stamp and die set, now retired. Everything except the card base was snippets so I'm also popping over to the Playground. I've been MIA over there for a while.

Fancy Folds for Allsorts

The challenge this week at Allsorts is Fancy Folds. I had just finished making these two cards for two friends who have birthdays on the same day.

I used the gorgeous new Lemon Lime Twist card together with papers, dies and gold stickers from the Eastern Medallion Suite from SU.

July Rudolph Day

Fortunately I made this card for Rudolph Day well in advance. I decided to do some reorganising of the craft room as I'm running out of space, so I have spent the last week unmounting my wooden stamps. It was a bit of a time consuming chore and I had very sore fingers from pulling the fom and labels off, but they really take up so much less space it was worth it. I also re- discovered stamps I had completely forgotten about, so I'm looking forward to using them again.

Anyway oto the card. I used a NBUS die that I bought last Christmas and never used. Red glitter paper to back it and a red embossed sentiment finished it off. Definitely easy peasy.

It will be a good one I think for a bit of batch making.

Monochromatic at Make My Monday

The challenge this time at Make My Monday is Monochromatic. I decided to go with blues.

I used an Inkylicious seascape stamp on linen card.I sponged over it with Distress Oxide ink and misted it with water before stamping the image. I coloured in the boat  a bit more, mounted it on a scrap of navy card and added some rhinestones. The sentiment is also an Inkylicious stamp.
